Fisherman's Market International Inc.

From humble beginnings, in the early 1940s, as a fish stall in a weathered building on the Halifax waterfront to a thriving retailer, wholesaler and exporter of fresh, frozen, smoked and salted seafood, including world-famous Atlantic lobster, both live and frozen, Fisherman’s Market has continued to thrive. Under the leadership of their experienced management team and with 200 dedicated and talented employees across multiple locations, the company operates locally, nationally and internationally in over 20 countries around the world offering one of the largest varieties of seafood in Atlantic Canada.

Scotia Harvest Inc.

Dedicated to excellence, Scotia Harvest Inc. is a vertically integrated seafood company located in Seabrook, Nova Scotia, next to the world-famous scallop port of Digby, Nova Scotia.  With a fleet of vessels specializing in scallop and groundfish harvesting, the company proudly collaborates with affiliated and independent harvesters, while also importing high-quality seafood from around the globe.  Along with a processing plant and vessels, Scotia Harvest also owns 50 percent of Tidal Boatworks, located in Digby.  Tidal specializes in repairing and modifying under 65’ vessels and fishing gear from around the Bay of Fundy and Southwest Nova Scotia.

Mersey Marine Limited

Purchased in 2005 by Mersey Seafoods and rebranded Mersey Marine Limited in 2023 (formerly STENPRO), the company and its predecessors trace their origins back to Thompson Bros. Machinery Co. Ltd. founded in the early 1900s.  Occupying a significant portion of the west bank of the Mersey River in Liverpool’s downtown, Mersey Marine offers a comprehensive range of services that include hull repairs, engine overhauls, electrical and mechanical work, as well as blasting and painting.  

Mersey Marine is a participant in Green Marine, the leading voluntary environmental certification program for North America’s maritime industry.

Shelburne Ship Repair Limited

With a history dating back to 1940, Shelburne Ship Repair has stood as a testament to the rich maritime heritage of Nova Scotia’s south shore. Purchased by Mersey Seafoods in 2022, Shelburne Ship Repair is a trusted partner for prominent fishing companies, the Department of National Defence, the Canadian Coast Guard, and commercial vessels of all types with a gross tonnage rating up to 4,500 mt.

Shelburne Ship Repair is a participant in Green Marine, the leading voluntary environmental certification program for North America’s maritime industry.
